Upgrading to Storage Viewer 9.2
The following sections contain information pertinent to upgrading to this release of Storage Viewer:
Before You Begin
• If you are upgrading from version 8.4.x to 9.2, you must re-install Data Collectors.
• Identify the Java Version on the Data Collector Server and ensure that a 64-bit server is used for the Data Collector Server.
• Ensure that the aptare.jar is upgraded successfully.

Upgrading from Hitachi Storage Viewer 8.4.02 to 9.2
Due to enhancements to Data Collectors in Hitachi Storage Viewer 9, if you are upgrading from Hitachi Storage Viewer 8.4.02, all Data Collectors must be upgraded by running one of the following relevant scripts. This process recognizes your existing configuration and automatically upgrades with the latest updates.
• hsv_datacollector_linux_9200_<MMDDYYYY>.bin
• hsv_datacollector_win_9200_<MMDDYYYY>.exe
Portal and Database Upgrades (Linux Portal)
Due to new functionality incorporated into versions 9.1 and 9.2, additional disk space is required for a Portal upgrade. See the Hitachi Storage Viewer Installation and Upgrade Guide for the initial minimum disk space requirements.
