Task 7: Requesting the License Key File (Linux)
A valid license key file is required to run the APTARE StorageConsole application.
To obtain a license file
• Collect the following information and email it to license@aptare.com. A license file will be emailed to you within 48 hours.
1. Contact and Server Information:
• Your name, title and phone number
• Company name and address
• Hostname of the Portal server
2. Run the following command and include the output in the email.
/opt/aptare/utils/reportConfig.sh
Note: When you pipe the output to a file ( > reportconfig.txt), you’ll have an output file to email.
3. Do not change anything on the StorageConsole server while you are waiting to receive the license key, as the license key is hostname-dependent.
