Configuring Generic Backup Data Collection
The following tasks must be performed as part of the Generic Backup Data Collection setup:
• In the StorageConsole Portal, create a host of type:
Generic Backup Server. This is the server that is managing the backups of the clients for which you will be importing backup data. See
Adding Members to a Host Group in the
APTARE StorageConsole User’s Guide.
• In the StorageConsole Portal, add a Data Collector Policy of Product Type:
Generic Backup. In this policy, supply the path to the CSV file. See
Configuring Generic Backup Data Collection in the
APTARE StorageConsole User’s Guide.
• Create a comma-separated file of the backup/restore data—typically, a file that has been exported using the backup software utilities. See
CSV Format Specification.
