NetBackup SLP Status by Client
Use Quick Search to find a template, report or dashboard by name. Search is case insensitive, supports partial entries, and will display a list of potential matches.
As you enter the name in the Quick Search field, up to 10 potential matches are displayed. If the template, report or dashboard is shown, you can select and run it directly from the match list. You can also click All Items in the match list to go directly to the Search Results.
Use the Explorer to browse through the StorageConsole templates, dashboards and reports. The navigation pane displays templates organized by products along with user created, and system folders. This report is located here:
Capacity Manager > Management Reports > NetBackup SLP Status
In the NetBackup SLP Status report, click the # Clients link to view the NetBackup SLP Status by Client report.
This report lists the Storage Lifecycle Policy (SLP) status for NetBackup jobs, from the client’s perspective.
Master Server
This is where the SLP is located. Click the link to drill down to the SLP Status by SLP report. This column lists all the master servers that have associated SLPs. An SLP may be on the origin master server or on any of the destination master servers (in the case of duplication to a remote master. Click the link to view Host Details.
SLP Name
Name of the SLP that is configured on the master server
SLP Version
Version that is associated with the specific SLP on the associated master server. Click the link to view NetBackup SLP Details.
Client Name
Client name that is backed up by the specific SLP on the selected master server. Click the link to view Host Details.
Origin Master Server
Where the primary backup copy resides. This is the server that created the image. The SLP can run on the origin master server or any of the destination master servers (in the case of duplication to a remote master). If duplication is to a remote master server, the origin master server and master server where the SLP is currently running may be different.
Oldest Unfinished Image
The oldest image that is not SLP-complete for any SLP on the associated master server. This represents the image end date and time, which can be used to identify possible SLP bottlenecks. The SLP state <> 3 (complete). Click the link to view the NetBackup SLP Status by Image Copy report.
# Existing Images
The total number of images that are for SLPs on the selected master server. This includes both SLP-complete images and SLP-incomplete images. Click the link to view the NetBackup SLP Status by Image report.
Images % SLP Complete
Percentage of images that are SLP-complete for SLPs on the selected master server, calculated as: Images SLP Complete / Total Existing Images * 100.
Images SLP Complete
Number of images that are SLP-complete for SLPs on the selected master server, based on: Storage Lifecycle State = 3 (Complete). Click the link to view the NetBackup SLP Status by Image report.
Images Not SLP Complete
Number of images that are SLP-incomplete for SLPs on the selected master server, calculated as: Total Existing Images - Images SLP Complete. Click the link to view the NetBackup SLP Status by Image report.
# Expected Copies
Total number of image copies for SLPs on the selected master server (includes both complete copies and incomplete copies). Click the link to view the NetBackup SLP Status by Image Copy report.
% Copy Complete
Percentage of completed copies for SLPs on the selected master server, calculated as: Copies Completed / Total Copies * 100.
Copies Completed
The number of completed copies for SLPs on the selected master server, based on: Copies Completed Copy:.Copy State = 3 (Complete). Click the link to view the NetBackup SLP Status by Image Copy report.
Copies Not Completed
The number of incomplete copies for SLPs on the selected master server, calculated as: Copies Not Complete = Total Copies –Copies Completed. Click the link to view the NetBackup SLP Status by Image Copy report.
Total Expected Size
This is the expected size of all the copies.
Completed Copy Size %
Percentage of completed copy size for the specific SLP on the selected master server. This value is calculated as: Completed Copy Size / Total Expected Size – all copies * 100. This is derived from the aggregate size of all the completed copies for the specific SLP on the selected master server.
Completed Copy Size (MB)
Aggregate size of all the completed copies in the Ops Center database for the SLP and the specific SLP destination. This value is calculated as: (Completed Copy Count for the specific SLP) x (Size of backup copy for the specific SLP).
Remaining Copy Size (MB)
Aggregate size of all remaining copies that are to be created for the specific SLP and image on the selected master server. This value is calculated as: (Remaining Copy Count) x (Size of Backup Copy1).
