If other versions of the above components are already running on the designated APTARE StorageConsole system, or other components are utilizing resources (such as specific ports) typically used by StorageConsole, the product usually can be reconfigured to work around these conflicts; however, this cannot be guaranteed.
APTARE StorageConsole is certified with the Oracle binaries that come bundled with the product (except for the Managed Services Editions), and when installed in its own Oracle instance as described in the installation instructions. The Oracle database component may optionally be installed on a separate server from the Portal components by following the standard APTARE StorageConsole Oracle install procedures. Note that the database must comply with the Oracle standard edition, not an enterprise license (see http://www.orafaq.com/wiki/Oracle_Licensing#Named_User_Plus_Licensing). Using non-bundled versions of Oracle or installing in other pre-existing Oracle instances is not a certified configuration and is not allowed, per the standard license grant. Contact APTARE to evaluate the feasibility of this type of configuration.
