Make the Data Collector Server a Trusted Server (Symantec NetBackup)
Making the Data Collector server a trusted server is a prerequisite for Centralized NetBackup Data Collection. This enables the Data Collector server to have authorized access to the NetBackup Master Server to retrieve metadata.
Linux
Edit /usr/openv/netbackup/bp.conf and add SERVER lines with the relevant Data Collector host names, as shown in the following example.
Example:
SERVER = sc90legoportalit
SERVER = nbu-master
SERVER = aptarenbu-win
CONNECT_OPTIONS = localhost 1 0 2
USE_VXSS = PROHIBITED
VXSS_SERVICE_TYPE = INTEGRITYANDCONFIDENTIALITY
EMMSERVER = nbu-master
HOST_CACHE_TTL = 3600
VXDBMS_NB_DATA = /usr/openv/db/data
LIST_FS_IMAGE_HEADERS = NO
TELEMETRY_UPLOAD = NO
Windows
Using the NetBackup Remote Administration Console for Windows, for each NetBackup Master Server, add the Data Collector servers to the list of servers that can access the NetBackup Master Server.
