APTARE StorageConsole is certified with the Oracle binaries that come bundled with the product (except for Managed Services Providers, who must license the Oracle software independent of APTARE), and when installed in its own Oracle instance as described in the installation instructions. Note that the database must comply with the Oracle Standard Edition, not an enterprise license.

Oracle Database Standard Edition can only be licensed on servers that have a maximum capacity of 4 CPU processor physical sockets. Also, Oracle counts VMware as soft partition technology, so it must be licensed for the entire ESX physical server.

Using non-bundled versions of Oracle or installing in other pre-existing Oracle instances is not a certified configuration and is not allowed, per the standard license grant. For this type of configuration, the customer will need to work with APTARE to evaluate its feasibility.
