Adding EMC Avamar Servers
For each Avamar server specified in the APTARE StorageConsole Data Collector Pre-Installation worksheet, add the Avamar servers to StorageConsole. This can be added using Hosts and Domains or you can add an Avamar server directly from the data collector policy screen.
1. In the Portal, add a host for each Avamar server (Utility Node): Admin > Hosts and Domains > Hosts and Host Groups
• External Name - Displayed in the Portal.
• Internal Name - Must match the host name of the Avamar server; fully qualified domain name (FQDN).
• IP Address - Utility node IP address.
• Make & Model
• Location
• OS Platform
• OS Version
• Type - Avamar Server
Note: You can also add EMC Avamar servers directly from the Data Collector policy screen.
