Architecture Overview
The following diagram provides an example of how the EMC Avamar Data Collector could be deployed in your environment.

The Data Collector connects to the Avamar system and via JDBC, extracts data from the Management Console Server (MCS) Database. The Avamar connection information is retrieved from the Portal. This connection information includes parameters such as the user ID, password, server address, and Avamar version.
