Disk Summary
This report lists a summary of disk device details including capacity, vendor, serial number, model and firmware version. Use this report to determine how disks within an array are being used. This offers the physical view of storage capacity.

Device Name
Name of the physical device.
Hitachi Data Systems: Name assigned by the user to the drive.
EMC VNX (CLARiiON): This is a combination of the bus number + the enclosure number + the disk number. Example: Bus 0 Enclosure 0 Disk 0.
EMC Symmetrix: Internally generated name, combining the Symmetrix ID, Director, Interface, and Target ID of the physical disk.
NetApp, NetApp Cluster-Mode: Name of the disk.
HP 3PAR: Name of the physical device.
Dell Compellent: The name of the disk, as designated by the vendor.
NetApp Cluster-Mode: Example: 0a.25. Omitted if excluded by desired-attributes.
Array Name
Name of the storage array.
Hitachi Data Systems, NetApp, HP EVA, Dell Compellent, Hitachi NAS, IBM XIV: Name of the storage array.
EMC Symmetrix: Name of the storage array. This name is derived from the Symmetrix ID.
EMC VNX (Celerra): Worldwide Celerra ID.
NetApp Cluster-Mode: The name of the cluster.
MDisk Name
For IBM SVC only. The name of the MDisk of which the drive is a member.
Serial #
Disk serial number.
Hitachi Data Systems, EMC VNX (CLARiiON), EMC Symmetrix: Serial number of the disk. Example: 3LN3216B.
NetApp: Disk serial number.
NetApp Cluster-Mode: Disk serial number. Maximum length of 129 characters.
HP 3PAR: Serial number of the disk.
Dell Compellent: The serial number of the disk.
NetApp Cluster-Mode: Omitted if excluded by desired-attributes.
Firmware Version
Firmware version.
Hitachi Data Systems: Microcode version of the drive's firmware.
NetApp, HP EVA, NetApp Cluster-Mode: Firmware revision of the disk.
HP 3PAR: Firmware version.
Dell Compellent: The firmware version of the disk.
Hitachi Data Systems: Not yet available for 9900V, USP, USP_V and VSP arrays.
NetApp, HP EVA: The format of the firmware revision depends on the type of disk and its vendor.
NetApp Cluster-Mode: The format of the firmware revision will vary depending on the type of disk and its vendor. Omitted if excluded by desired-attributes.
Vendor
Vendor/Manufacturer of the disk.
Hitachi Data Systems: Drive manufacturer.
EMC VNX (CLARiiON): Vendor ID of the disk.
EMC Symmetrix, NetApp Cluster-Mode: Vendor/Manufacturer of the disk.
NetApp: Vendor of the disk.
HP 3PAR: Manufacturer of the disk.
Dell Compellent: The vendor of the disk.
NetApp Cluster-Mode: Omitted if excluded by desired-attributes.
RPM
Drive's speed in revolutions per minute (RPM).
Hitachi Data Systems, EMC VNX (CLARiiON), EMC Symmetrix, HP 3PAR: Drive's speed in revolutions per minute (RPM).
NetApp: Rotational speed in revolutions per minute.
NetApp Cluster-Mode: Rotational speed in revolutions per minute (RPM).
Hitachi Data Systems: Available for the following arrays: USP USP_V VSP AMS/WMS/SMS. -1 or 0 = Unknown.
NetApp: Examples: 5400 7200 10000 15000 NetApp Cluster-Mode: Possible values: 5400, 7200, 10000, 15000. Omitted if information is unavailable, if RPM does not apply to this disk type, or if excluded by desired-attributes.
Vendor Disk Type
Drive type of the disk.
Disk Type
For IBM SVC Only. Type of disk, for example: ATA, BD, EATA, EFD, FC, LUN, SAS, SATA, SCSI, SSD, XATA, XSAS.
Hot Spare
Hot spare status: No, if not a hot spare; otherwise, the disk position.
Capacity
Physical disk size.Values are stored as KiB in the database and rendered according to your user profile preferences.
Chassis #
For IBM SVC only. Chassis number.
Slot ID
For IBM SVC only. The slot_id of the drive in the enclosure or node. It can be referred to as the drive bay or location. This can be blank.
Model
For IBM SVC only. Drive model of the physical device.
Drive Role
For IBM SVC only. The current role of the drive. Possible values: unused: the drive which is not configured to be used by anything candidate: the drive is available to be configured spare: the drive is configured as a spare, to be used if the arrays fail members member: the drive is configured as a member of an array failed: the drive has been rejected, and is no longer available for use.
