EMC VPLEX Extent Summary
Detail reports are related to a specific enterprise object, such as a backup job. You can only access detail reports through a link presented in the context of a main report, providing additional information that augments the main report. Detail reports cannot be generated, customized, or saved, as they are specific to the report from which they were derived. They are not available in search results.

This report lists the Extents that occupy a Storage Volume. Extents associated with a Storage Volume enable capacity allocation, taking advantage of dynamic thin allocation capabilities of the back-end storage array.
Cluster | Name of the storage array; drills down to the Array Capacity & Utilization. |
Storage Volume | The storage array name associated with the storage volume; drills down to the EMC VPLEX Storage Volume Summary. |
Extent | Name of the extent. |
Device | Name of the VPLEX device; drills down to the EMC VPLEX Device Summary. |
IO Status | Indicates the I/O status of the underlying storage-volume. Possible values: alive - I/O is proceeding normally on the extent. dead - The underlying storage volume is marked as hardware-dead. unreachable - The underlying storage volume is unreachable. |
Operational Status | The operational status for the extent. This indicates whether the entity is functioning, and, if it is, how well it is functioning. Possible values: degraded ok starting unknown |
Health State | Represents an overview of the health of the extent. Indicates the status of the I/O for the extent. |
Use | Indicates how the system is currently using the extent. |
Capacity | The total number of bytes in the extent. This total is equal to the block size multiplied by the block count. |
