Chargeback Array Capacity
Explore your data center using APTARE customizable report templates or by using parts of your IT infrastructure as entry points. Use Search to find reports, templates and dashboards across the portal.
Use the Reports tab to examine the catalog of templates, dashboards and reports - organized by products along with user-created, and system folders. This report is located here:
Refer to the APTARE StorageConsole User’s Guide for details on configuring a Capacity Chargeback Policy. Capacity Chargeback Policies are configured by the StorageConsole Administrator. The administrator uses these policies to assign a cost-per-GB to hosts in a host group.

Name
Click the array name link to the Array Capacity and Utilization report.
Policy
Links to the capacity chargeback policy details.
Cost Per GB
The cost per unit, as defined by the capacity chargeback policy.
RAID
Total Capacity
Total capacity of the array groups in the storage array.
Virtual Capacity
Applicable to HDS arrays only - Capacity from a back-end system, derived from daisy-chained external storage (back-end systems). This is array group capacity that does not have PDEVs in the storage array.
Local Capacity
All the capacity from the attached disks.
Used
Total used capacity of the array groups (by LUNs) in the storage array.
Available
Available capacity of the array groups in the storage array. Available Capacity = Total Capacity - Allocated Capacity.
LUNs
Total
Total LUN capacity for the array tier. The sum of these values of each array should match the Total Capacity listed in the Array Capacity & Utilization report. For HP 3PAR: LUN refers to Virtual Volume.
Allocated
Allocated LUN capacity for the array tier. The sum of these values of each array should match the Allocated Capacity listed in the Array Capacity & Utilization report. For HP 3PAR: LUN refers to Virtual Volume.
UnAllocated
Unallocated LUN capacity for the array tier. The sum of these values of each array should match the Unallocated Capacity listed in the Array Capacity & Utilization report. For HP 3PAR: LUN refers to Virtual Volume.
Thin Provisioned
Capacity
The Hitachi Dynamic Provisioning capacity associated with this array. Or, consumed thin provisioned capacity for: EMC Symmetrix, EMC CLARiiON, or IBM SVC.
Used
The consumed Hitachi Dynamic Provisioning, EMC Symmetrix, EMC CLARiiON, or IBM SVC capacity for this array.
Available
The total unused thin provisioned capacity. For Hitachi arrays, this is the total Journal Pool Available, NOT just for this array.
